High-vacuum sputtering systems

Sputtering (also known as “cathodic sputtering”) consists of the physical deposition of an ultra-thin layer onto the surface of a component, with the aim of enhancing its aesthetic qualities, corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, and overall durability. The sputtering systems designed, manufactured, and installed by Arzuffi create PVD coatings using high-vacuum technology, a metallization technique in which the target metal is bombarded with gas ions, causing it to evaporate and deposit onto the surface of the treated part.

Fast-Met

Batch Manual Solution & Semi-Automatic

If you are looking for a batch system for high-vacuum sputtering deposition, the Fast-Met line is the ideal solution. Available in five standard configurations, customizable to meet different application needs, Fast-Met enables the deposition of pure metals and metal alloys, producing colored and/or semi-transparent surfaces.

Smart-Met

Automatic Solution

Smart-Met is the automatic sputtering system developed specifically for in-line processes. It ensures fast deposition cycles, with a maximum duration of less than 50 seconds. Full automation and the use of the same tray throughout the entire production line represent its main strengths.

Line-Met

Automatic Solution

Line-Met is the ideal in-line system for vacuum deposition processes with flat part handling, designed to integrate automated loading and unloading. Key advantages include reduced waste, improved finished product quality, and a significant decrease in labor-related costs.

Twist-Met

Automatic Solution

To achieve the benefits of a sputtering system while saving on costs, the best choice is the Twist-Met system, available in two configurations. Twist-Met is a fully automated system, with a coating cycle that does not exceed 40 seconds. In addition, its very compact layout allows for better in-line integration.

Generators

The generators provide the energy required to start and maintain the PVD process through sputtering. We use DC, RF, unipolar pulsed, and bipolar pulsed generators depending on the process requirements

Cathodes

We install high-efficiency, high-performance magnetron cathodes. They are available in different configurations, planar or rotary, to suit various production requirements and industrial applications

Turbomolecular pumps

Oil-free, low-consumption, and requiring minimal maintenance: turbomolecular pumps ensure a high level of vacuum and cleanliness during the process

Reactive sputtering

Reactive sputtering is a technology generally used to achieve colored metallization of the surface of a part. The reactive process results from the injection of additional gases during the sputtering phase in order to obtain a range of colors that cannot be achieved with the deposition of only the target metal or alloy.

In Arzuffi systems, the injected gases can be carefully controlled and calibrated — a fundamental aspect for the success of the process.
