The history of Arzuffi began in 1986. Founded by Danilo Arzuffi, the company took its first steps in the market by building metallization systems for the Italian and European markets. Thanks to its strong expertise in the design and construction of machinery, Arzuffi soon became a trusted supplier for major multinational companies in the automotive sector, such as Marelli Automotive Lighting, Valeo Group, Plastic Omnium (Varroc), Hella (FORVIA Group), ZKW, Magna, XYL, Koito, Stanley, SL, Odelo-Farba, and others.

Over time, Arzuffi earned a prestigious position on a global scale as a leading supplier, successfully meeting the stringent technical specifications required by OEMs.

With over 30 years of experience, Arzuffi has gone beyond every limit, becoming a benchmark in many other sectors: lighting, cosmetics, decorative, ceramics, special applications (leather and textiles), furniture, and glass.

In December 2023, Arzuffi was acquired by Italian Strategy, a private equity fund managed by Riello Investimenti SGR. This acquisition allowed Arzuffi to join forces with Protec Surface Technologies and Protim, creating a group that represents the first and only major hub of the Italian PVD industry, with the goal of becoming the European leader in machinery manufacturing and coating centers.

Our story

Founded in 1986, Arzuffi has established itself as a leading company in the construction of high-vacuum systems for thin film deposition, with over 750 installations worldwide. Our offering includes cutting-edge PVD technologies capable of meeting the stringent specification tests required by various industries.

Know-how

We excel in the design, manufacturing, and installation of thin film coating machinery. We develop innovative, tailor-made solutions, adapting to the specific needs of our customers and ensuring maximum productivity at the lowest production costs.

Green technology

Arzuffi’s metallization and sputtering systems are eco-friendly and sustainable, as the process takes place at room temperature, without the use of water and without the release of harmful chemicals. PVD is an alternative to traditional galvanic chrome plating and contributes to reducing environmental pollution and protecting human health.
